I can't deny, when Luke Bryan first came out, he actually had some deeper songs. It's when he realized he could shake his and advertise for whiskey companies that he lost himself. I will give FGL this, their new single is a step in the right direction. I also like to think they wrote Jason Aldean's new shitty song to put him out of the picture. Listen to "The Car in Front of Me", "What Country Is", ironically "I'll Stay Me" and even "We Rode In Trucks" the latter may sound like a typical truck song, but if you really listen to it, it is a lot deeper than that. But for the most part, you are right.

I've been told LB's older stuff was more country. Dirt by FGL actually isn't bad but I really don't get a country feeling from them.This is how We Roll made me want to throw up

From a writing standpoint, Luke Bryan was( WAS ) great, then he started to make money and let other people write. The one exception to his new stuff, is "Drink A Beer", not anything like what you would expect from him. But here is some of his early stuff.

I can understand it though, I mean he is nearly 40 and looks maybe 25 and in good shape. He's like a manly Justin Bieber with a Georgia drawl and a bigger alcohol problem.
